To burn, to run from and make peace with

“To Burn, To Run From And Make Peace With,” a panel discussion led by artist Mark Harvey, delved into the significant role of performance art as both a mirror to society and a platform for challenging societal norms, especially hegemony and conservatism. During this event, artists were prompted to share their perspectives on what aspects of society they would like to burn, flee from, and reconcile with.

The discussion also explored how performance art can be effectively utilized through tactics of questioning, resisting, and embracing. Participants discussed the potential role of performance art in exerting political influence in contemporary times, offering insights into the ways in which this art form can act as a catalyst for social and political change.
