Participants in ‘Waiporoporo | We’re the purple’ wore purple and walked from the Thistle Hall Gallery to the wharf in the manner of a performance, intervention or some could say meditation with direction from artist Sonja van Kerkhoff. “Be purple, feel purple, be guided, feel ethereal.” Participants were invited to become a part of Waiporoporo | We’re the purple, that was a blur of purple that eclipsed the city, for our closing happening of PAWA 2021.
Pawa runs on the contributions of our event goers and public funding.
